Marketing Student (Multimedia/Creative Design Focus)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Student currently studying Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Marketing, or a related field to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in brand development, digital content creation, and campaign execution within a fast-paced, design-led business.
The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing team to support the delivery of campaigns and day-to-day marketing activity across the Bloc Group, assisting in the creation of graphic design, marketing assets, and supporting materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Design
- Design engaging marketing materials including social media graphics, banners, posters, presentations, and promotional materials
- Assist in developing digital assets for websites, email campaigns, and online advertisements
- Create and edit multimedia content such as short videos, animations, and motion graphics
- Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines and visual identity standards
Digital Marketing Support
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns
- Help schedule and publish organic content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Support email marketing campaigns through layout design and content formatting
- Monitor engagement metrics and assist in preparing performance reports
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and campaign development
- Support the marketing team in maintaining brand consistency across all materials
- Assist in developing creative concepts for campaigns and content
Branding & Creative Development
- Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and brand storytelling
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative strategy meetings
- Support brand consistency across all marketing materials
Website & Multimedia
- Assist in updating website content, graphics, and landing pages
- Optimize images and media for digital platforms
- Support basic UX/UI improvements where applicable
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Currently enrolled in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, Visual Communication, or similar program
- Strong understanding of design principles (layout, typography, colour theory)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing trends
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Canva, Figma, or similar design tools
- Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
- Understanding of branding and visual storytelling
- Photography or content production experience

This placement opportunity is 37 hours per week Monday – Friday located at HQ in Magherafelt.
